Register of interest payments due for land purchased on installment, 1837-1839.

Installment plan interest payment register entries for 1836 land purchases (payments due to the canal commissioners on October 1, 1837; October 1, 1838; and October 1, 1839) include land purchase date; purchase price amount due in three installments; and interest due on the specified dates. Volume I also contains land payments received during 1837. In addition both volumes contain lists of forfeited land which did not comply with 1836 and 1837 payment schedules. Finally, volume II contains a list of Ottawa and Chicago canal lots disposed of under the Relief Act of February 27, 1841.
